Inside Hotel Tech Provider Straiv’s Rebrand – CEO Alex on What’s Next

“Everyone Loves a Smooth Stay”: Straiv’s rebrand

“The new brand captures what we’ve always focused on: making hotel operations run smoothly.”

Alexander Haußmann.

CEO & Founder @Straiv

“It was time for our brand to catch up with our growth.”

Happy Rebranding Day!
Straiv is launching today with a fresh new look—from a redesigned logo to a completely new website. Alex, how does it feel to finally share the results of all that work? And what triggered the rebrand in the first place?

Alex: It feels great. The past year has been incredibly intense—full of growth and change. Internally, we’ve evolved significantly, moving from a solid start-up to an ambitious scale-up. At some point, we had to be honest with ourselves: our brand simply couldn’t keep up with that pace anymore. The old design was starting to hold us back and no longer reflected the level of professionalism we stand for today. We’d outgrown it.
The new brand is the visible proof that we’ve arrived in the next phase of our company’s journey.

The new logo feels familiar, yet clearly different. What was the thinking behind it?

Alex: That balance was absolutely key for us. We wanted to preserve recognisability—our customers know and trust us. At the same time, we sharpened the design significantly. The bold “S” at the beginning now deliberately represents our growth and the professionalism we bring as a scale-up. It feels stronger, clearer and shows that we’re ready to take responsibility as a market leader. It’s an evolution, not a radical break.

People often say a rebrand is like looking in the mirror. What do you want customers and partners to see when they look at the new Straiv?

Alex: There are three things we want to communicate very clearly: confidence, smoothness and approachability.
First, confidence. We’re stepping into our role as market shapers. We understand the real pain points in hospitality and build solutions that actually work in day-to-day operations. That confidence comes from thousands of successful implementations – we’re a partner hotels can rely on.
Second, smoothness. That’s the core of our brand. Every interaction with Straiv—from the first click on our website to daily use of the software—should feel as seamless and efficient as a perfect check-in.
And third, approachability. We’ve become more professional, but we’ve kept our human touch. We combine cutting-edge technology with genuine customer focus. We speak the language of hoteliers, meet them at eye level and show confidence without arrogance.

“Everyone Loves a Smooth Stay” runs through your entire new communication. What does that mean strategically, especially with expansion in mind?

Alex: The slogan is our promise to the market. We want to remove complexity from everyday hotel operations. Our solutions are designed to make life easier for everyone involved – not just guests, but especially hoteliers and their teams. When things are simple, everyone wins.
That clarity is particularly important right now as we prepare for stronger international expansion in 2026, with a clear focus on France and the Benelux region. Trust is the key currency – both in these new markets and in our core regions of Germany, Austria and Switzerland. Our new brand presence helps ensure we’re seen as the reliable European technology partner that we are.

The new website feels very focused. What mattered most to you in the redesign—both technically and visually?

Alex: We wanted to move away from simply showcasing products and towards genuinely supporting hoteliers. The new website is designed to answer real questions around the digital guest journey in a clear and practical way.
It’s much more focused on individual challenges—whether that’s staff shortages, digitalisation or guest experience. It should be immediately obvious: these people understand my business. With a clear structure and content tailored to different audiences, our partners can now find the solutions that really help them—quickly and intuitively. It’s all about clarity, information and inspiration.

Looking ahead to the coming months, what message do you want to send to your customers and your team today?

Alex: We’re ready for the next level. The relaunch is the foundation for everything that comes next. We now have the creative freedom and professional presence to scale internationally with confidence. We’ve grown up—and we’re ready to show that smoothness is the new standard in hospitality.
