From a Beer Garden Idea to the Guest Journey in 30 Countries

Driven by a vision that arose during a beer garden visit in 2015, the founders realized “CODE2ORDER,” an innovative way for ordering and paying in the gastronomy sector: intuitively via QR code on one’s own smartphone, without the need for an app. The strategic shift to the hotel industry and a modified business model focusing on digital check-in and check-out led to the future-oriented rebranding to “straiv” in 2022. The striving (“straiv”) to always provide the best for the hotel industry and the abbreviation STR for the connection to Stuttgart reflect both the values and the continuous development of the solution. Today, straiv employs 62 people from 20 nations, who work with enthusiasm, joy, and a spirit of innovation on the products, new developments, and customer satisfaction in the recently newly occupied company headquarters in Stuttgart-Vaihingen, spanning 1178 square meters.
